For writers with an iPhone who streak — not the kind of streaking that gets you arrested at sporting events, but the kind of streaking that has to do with daily word counts — I found a cute little free iPhone application: Write Chain.
Write Chain will keep track of the number of words written on a daily basis as well as a running total of the number of words in a given streak, or as the app calls it, the chain. Each day is a link in the chain. You can set how many days you can coast without breaking the chain, if you want.
I set my minimum word count at 500 with zero days to coast. I’ll see how far I get before I break this chain. Last night I got off to a good start with 1,500 words.
